THURSDAY
THE THIRTEENTH
An October to Remember in Sleighbell Springs
In a town where coparenting homosexuals
set up a blind date for their son,
there's more than meets the eye to their matchmaking efforts.
Before Thursday Holiday was born, his eclectic parents loathed whenever the thirteenth of the month landed on a Thursday instead of Friday, for reasons they saw as obvious. However, once the two welcome their son into the world on the thirteenth day of October, their preferences change forever.
Fast forward two and a half decades and Thursday finds himself on an awkward blind date inside his father's infamous sexual health center, Rudolph's Red Door Clinic. His blind date? Jasper Langford, the apprentice of his mother's funeral home, the Forever Holiday Funeral Home. Their arranged date ends up not going as Thursday hoped it would, leading him to ask for a second chance to get to know Jasper, this time without his parents' involvement.
As the two grow closer, they discover more about each other, their families, and why Thursday's parents arranged their date in the first place. They begin to uncover more about Jasper's own upbringing and how their stories were intertwined long before their meeting was ever arranged.
How will Jasper and Thursday react as once-hidden details of their connection begin to surface? Will they want to grow their relationship, or let it fade once the truth is revealed? Find out in Thursday the Thirteenth, Anthony Scott's addition to the shared Sleighbell Springs universe, where small town romance complements seasonal charm year round.
